As you know this past weekend we went through potty training bootcamp. I am pleased to report that as of Saturday morning we have had NO accidents. That is almost a full week of no accidents. Way to go Cora. However potty training is not just about going in the potty. Its also teaching good hygiene like washing hands after and how to wipe effectively. Apparently we have a little work to do there since yesterday Cora proudly announced to me from the bathroom:
"Mommy, my big girl panties have a stain on them. A brown one. Come see it! Come see!"
Looks like we may have some refining to do....
My kids seem to indeed say the darnedest things. I would often post these as Facebook statuses but realized that I should be doing something to save these for later. You know, so I can totally embarrass them in their teen years. I hope you enjoy these, but if not... I know I sure will!

This weekend we are going through "Potty training boot camp" with Cora since she starts preschool in two weeks. So, since Friday we have been going through accidents, celebrations, and rushing to the nearest potty. This morning, while making muffins, Cora started having "the poopy face" so I told her we should hurry to the toilet. I rushed her in and told her to hurry, hurry and take down her pants. Without missing a beat, and while following my command, she told me:
"Slow your roll mom. Slow your roll. We're not in a big hurry here."
Seriously?

With the arrival of Milly I was worried that Cora would have some severe sibling rivalry issues. I needn't have worried as she's been as sweet as can be to her little sis. Last night Milly was having a rough time getting to sleep for her 7:00pm "nap". I was rocking her in the bassinet and Cora came over, stuck her head in between me and Milly, rubbed her sister's tummy and said:
"Its ok Milly. Its ok sweetie. Mommy and Cora are here. You don't have to be lonely!"
Awwwwww.

Ok yes, its been a while but in my defense I DID deliver a child on April 9th! :) To celebrate, a Coraism related to having a new baby sister in the house:
Cora: Mom, the baby woke me up last night. She was cryin
Me: Yeah, babies do that. Their tummies are so tiny they have to eat all the time - even late, late at night. So they cry to let us know they're hungry.
Cora: (with a sigh and smile) She's a mess isn't she mom?
