Putting Cora to bed tonight, this was our conversation:
Me: You know your baby sister is going to come out of mommy's tummy very soon
Cora: Is she sleeping in your tummy?
Me: Yes, right now she's resting
Cora: Let me feel (feels my tummy, then leans in and kisses it)
Me: You are a very sweet girl and you are going to make a wonderful big sister
Cora: Thanks mom
Me: I want you to know that when baby comes things might seem a little crazy for a while, but I will always love you just as much as I do right now. I love you my baby.
Cora: I love you too mommy (takes my face in both hands and gives me a kiss on the cheek)
Me: I'm so happy you are my daughter
Cora: I'm happy you are my mommy.
These are the moments I live for. These are the moments I hope and pray that the camera in my head captured and saved so that I can replay them over and over as long as I live.
